Chrkha is an Indian, sustainable clothing company that focuses on creating quality garments that are made from natural materials by skilled artisans. We are a modern brand with traditional values. We are constantly looking for better methods of production and sourcing in order to further advance our practice. 

Every one of our garments is personalised and unique. With an aim to promote and encourage traditional craftsmanship, we focus on sourcing all materials locally and ethically. We believe in transparency and that consumers deserve to know more about what and from where they are purchasing. We try to minimize environmental impact and make sure there are no unsafe or unfair means being used to deliver beautiful products to your doorstep.

In India’s challenging climate, we try and support our artisans in every way possible-especially economically. They are able to use skills that are passed down through generations of their families to improve their lifestyles and those of their families too.

About the Designer

Disha Makkar founded Chrkha when she noticed a gap in Indian crafts reaching and being able to connect with consumers. She strongly believes in uplifting these local, age old crafts and taking them to a global platform. Disha is a fashion entrepreneur who understands both art and business. She has a post graduate degree in Fashion Marketing from Pearl Academy followed by her under graduation in Fashion Design from Amity University.

Everything at Chrkha is designed with lots of love and care and there are no two pieces which are exactly the same!
